Creative In-House Design Projects.

 

Working within brands to create all types of design assets, delivering imagery for use on e-commerce, social media, marketing, CRM email design, events and In-store print assets. These images are designed and illustrated by myself as well as styled, directed and shot professionally by myself both in studio and on location. I always take a hands on role to design within an in-house setting, offering my creative services across all departments and creative projects.


Cass Art Student Day.

Lead designer for the 2018 student day in-store event for Cass Art.

Every year Cass Art holds an annual  nationwide student day, these take place across 11 UK store locations and are designed to be bold inviting and creative in order to entice students in to their local Cass Art.

In 2018 we decided to run with a bold geometric style which was supported by the staff dressing in bold colourful clothes, a full social media takeover, email marketing, all printed collateral which amalgamated in a large scale installation in our Flagship store in Islington.

The geometric pattern was designed by myself and became the key element in the design of all assets and collateral.

I designed and constructed this with sponsorship from Washi Tape. The wall was designed as a place for photographs to be taken for use on social media and our collateral, keeping everything visually interesting and on brand. 

This was the first Student Day that had more focus on the impact of marketing to students via social media so it was very important that the visuals translated across all mediums, including print, social, web, and in-store.

Tatty Devine.

Tatty Devine Limited Edition Launches.

Leading the creative shoots and marketing ideas for the Limited Edition launches in October. These were an opportunity to put a unique spin on the Tatty Devine aesthetic and main campaign shots whilst keeping to brand style. 

Delivering the concepts, organisation, set-up, styling and direction of several shoots for Limited Edition launches whilst working for Tatty Devine and in collaboration with Glassmint Photography Studio. 

All launches also had a strong marketing push on social media so designs and images had to be bold and fun yet sophisticated and original to appeal to the avid Tatty Devine fan base.

Digital Development: Cass Art.

CRM Email development, Site wide website development, Design Customer journey improvement, Design for Social Media

Working extensively with marketing departments to develop creative ideas and concepts to advertise commercially, streamlining email marketing in order to give more time to create more visually appealing work and create ways of using new engaging bespoke photography to advertise in a more unique way.

Leading the development of the website and social media making sure that the customer journey is concise and well designed as well as best representing the business. In effect, conveying the theme of the shops and the products in a digital format that visually appeals to the customer and entices them to engage with the brand.

Developing strategy and the design for all digital aspects of the Cass Art CRM email programme, templating the companywide email design strategy including designing the winback programme for new Cass Art Customers.

With the introduction of a Life selection of products, we wanted to create a unique visual identity for the range as to differentiate it from the rest of the Cass Art imagery,

I shot styled and directed this shoot creating a a subtle link between the lifestyle products and art materials.

Digital Development: Cass Art Photography & Art Direction.

During time at Cass Art I set-up and ran our in-house photography studio leading the design, photography, styling and art direction of all in-house photography shoots used across social media content, email marketing, in-store print collateral, in-store events, website design and company advertisements.

Bringing all photography and content creation in-house allowed me to create a new digital visual branding style that was consistent across all digital assets therefore improving our company visual customer journey across an ever expanding digital identity.

Also to make out own animated video content in order to draw in attention on our digital channels whilst highlighting retail events.

Cass Art Summer Giveaway.

Projects 2018/19.

Working on all designs for marketing, design, art direction, illustration and photography across all web and social assets for the Cass Art summer Giveaway event online and in-store.

The premise of the competition was to gain email subscribers and to showcase Cass Art as a brand. The aim of the design and idea behind both years was to be bight, colourful, fun and engaging for customers, bringing a summery look in to store, over social media channels as well as email.

Summer Giveaway 2019

In 2019 the giveaway was in celebration of Cass Art’s 35th Birthday so I took the design along the route of combining the artistic materials and paint with birthday celebration items such as cake candles and sweets. I then took the final photos and used them across all in-store digi screens, email marketing, web design and social media to advertise the items that we were available for the giveaway and create multi-channel excitement for the event and brand.

Summer Giveaway 2018

For the Summer Giveaway 2018 I designed and illustrated, the concept for a fun summer theme to highlight the giveaway, this was then used across all assets in-store and online. The brief was to capture the essence of a fun, sunny, traditional British summer with hand-drawn colourful beach huts and seagulls. The summer giveaway is for customer engagement and retention, as well as collecting sign-ups for email marketing so the importance is to create a design that draws attention.


Cass Art Black Friday.

Working on all designs for marketing and design across all web and social assets for the Black Friday event online.

It was always important when working on projects within Cass Art to make sure that all yearly commercial events were covered within the retail calendar but making these events bespoke, as well as engaging to the customer base keeping to the key themes and style of the brand and the customer base.

Creation of all animated GIF’s to use across channel to advertise the Black Friday event as well as a full website takeover. Using the materials that Cass Art sells to showcase our product range and give a promotional message.

Selfridges Pop-Up .

Cass Art at Selfridges 2019.

During January 2019 Cass Art held a 3 month pop-up store within Selfridges in Oxford Street. During this time I was involved in producing pitch designs for the iconic Selfridges window design team to inspire the visitors and passers by to come in to the store as well as taking all the official photography to advertise the shop and its importance to the Cass Art story.

 

State of the Arts 2019

“In early 2019 The Corner Shop in the London store plays host to the Art Store, a multi- dimensional destination that combines retail, customer interaction and artist participation. Along with an extensive selection of art materials brought together by Cass Art.“
